Doda, October 29: In a move to strengthen road safety and deter drunk driving, the Transport Department conducted a special enforcement drive at Khellani in Doda district late last night, issuing five challans and initiating proceedings for the cancellation of two driving licences.
The drive was led by Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Doda, Kuldeep Kumar, along with his team, following directions from Transport Commissioner, Jammu and Kashmir, Vishesh Paul Mahajan.
During the checking, motorists were screened for traffic violations, and five challans were issued. The department also initiated action to cancel the driving licences of two drivers found violating the prescribed rules.
