Police Attach Property of Terrorist Handler in Handwara

In a firm action against the terror ecosystem, Handwara police attached the property of a terrorist handler in Palpora village of Kralgund on 4th March 2023. This action underscores a strong commitment to dismantling the local support structures for terrorism.

A police spokesperson revealed that the operation connected to FIR No. 73/2011 of Police Station Kralgund. Investigations identified Nazir Ahmad Ganai, a resident of Palpora who currently operates from Pakistan-administered Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), as actively involved in managing and guiding terror activities in the region.

“Following due legal procedures and obtaining sanctions from the competent authority, Ganai’s land in Palpora was attached in the presence of police and revenue officials,” the spokesperson affirmed. This attachment symbolizes a fortified stance against individuals undermining local peace and security.

Police assured that they will continue their rigorous measures to dismantle terror networks persisting in the area. Such actions not only target individuals like Ganai but also aim to disrupt the broader connectivity of terrorist activities.

The police stated that these efforts reflect their resolve to act strictly against handlers and anti-national elements. They urged the community to collaborate in maintaining law and order, emphasizing that strict legal action would follow anyone found supporting such anti-national activities.

As part of ongoing operations, police hope that this decisive measure will serve as a warning against supporting any form of terrorism. Members of the community can play a critical role by remaining vigilant and reporting suspicious activities.
