Sat Sharma Criticizes Opponents for Opportunist Politics

On 30 September, Sat Sharma, President of J&K BJP, accused Congress, National Conference (NC), and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of opportunist politics that have hindered the development of Jammu and Kashmir and the nation. He made these comments during the inauguration of the Namo Exhibition at Gulshan Chowk, Bandipora, as part of the ongoing Seva Parv celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.

Sharma’s remarks targeted the INDI alliance parties, which he claimed have consistently betrayed the people of the region. He stated these dynastic political parties have thrived for decades by using nepotism, corruption, and favoritism. “Their politics of self-interest has pushed Jammu & Kashmir into darkness while they enjoy the privileges of power,” Sharma remarked, highlighting the detrimental impact of these parties on the youth and opportunities in the region.

In stark contrast, Sharma praised Prime Minister Modi for ushering in unprecedented development, transparency, and accountability in Jammu and Kashmir and across India. He asserted that since 2014, the Modi government has dismantled corruption and favoritism, contributing to significant advancements in infrastructure, economic reforms, and social justice. “The contrast between the empty promises of the INDI alliance and the solid achievements of Modi Ji is evident to every citizen today,” he emphasized.

J&K BJP General Secretary Anwar Khan echoed Sharma’s sentiments at the event, describing the exhibition as a testament to Modi’s sacrifices and vision. He remarked, “It reflects the milestones of Modi Ji’s life, unlike the INDI alliance, which only embodies corruption and betrayal.”

Mudassir Farooq Jan, the District President of Bandipora, added that Modi’s leadership has provided a new global identity to India and Jammu and Kashmir. He promised that the BJP will present these achievements to the public on a mission level, ensuring that the message of progress reaches every corner of the region.

This event highlights the BJP’s ongoing campaign to consolidate support in Jammu and Kashmir by contrasting their governance model with that of the INDI alliance, which they describe as stagnant and self-serving. The BJP continues to focus on a narrative of development and accountability, positioning itself as the party of progress and change.
