AICC General Secretary Incharge Dr. Syed Naseer Hussain, along with JKPCC President Tariq Hameed Karra, and CLP Leader G.A. Mir, led discussions on voter rights at the Voter Adhikar Samelan held in Uri, District Baramulla on Saturday.
The event aimed to engage citizens on the significance of electoral participation and educate them about their voting rights. Dr. Hussain emphasized the critical need for every eligible citizen to understand their electoral entitlements. He urged attendees to raise awareness in their communities regarding the importance of voting.
Organized by former Minister Taj Mohiuddin, the Voter Adhikar Samelan attracted prominent Congress leaders and lawmakers. Senior legislators present included former Minister G.M. Saroori, MLA Nizamuddin Bhat, and MLA Irfan Lone. Other local leaders such as Abdul Raheem Rather, Abdul Gani Khan, S.S. Channi, and Nissar Ahmad Mandoo also participated, contributing to discussions focused on enhancing voter education.
