About 30-35 children and youth from 12 districts of J&K UT participated in the national championship, “ National Performing Arts Championship Maharashtra 2022, held on 8,9 October 2022, at the premises of Smt. K. C. English School auditorium, Kalyan, Maharashtra , organized by “ Performing Arts Association of India “, and brought laurels for J&K UT by winning Gold, Silver medals in Dance/Singing/Acting events in different age categories and dance forms. These children and youth from J&K UT were selected by J&K Performing Arts unit, run by “ Harman Cultural And Educational Society, Jammu”, on the basis of their performance in the selection trials held in various districts of J&K UT. In the competition, children and youth from Harman Dance Institute, upper gadi garh, Jammu Gurukul Dance academy, Udhampur,Mind and Rhythm dance institute, Udhampur, Magic Stars dance fitness studio, Kathua, Talent world dance academy, Samba ,and The Dancing Footsteps, Sunderbani run by Aniket, participated. The best performers in the championship were honoured by selecting them for international level dance competition which will be held in Nepal on 30th November and 1st December 2022. The participants were accompanied by Tajinder Singh, president, Harman Cultural And Educational Society, Jammu alongwith Gurvinder Kour, General Secretary, HCES and State Secretary, J&K Performing Arts Unit and Vishal Mehra, Kamal Asla, Armaan Farooq from Bhaderwah, Chandan Mandal, Vaniket Kumar, district incharges of J&K performing arts unit. Harman Cultural And Educational SOCIETY, Jammu management congratulates the medal winners in the event and wishes them good luck for upcoming international competition in Nepal.
