Bringing pride to Jammu and Kashmir, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dushyant Sharma has been chosen by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) to participate in the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Observers Programme in Paris, France.
The IOA, under the leadership of Dr. P.T. Usha, President, has selected SSP Dushyant Sharma for this prestigious opportunity aimed at enhancing India’s understanding and preparations for hosting future Olympic Games. The IOC Observers Programme, scheduled from July 29 to August 10, 2024, during the Paris Olympics, will provide invaluable insights into the intricate planning and execution of the Games.
SSP Dushyant Sharma, currently posted at PTTI Vijaypur, brings a wealth of experience, having excelled both as an international wrestler and in leadership roles within the Indian wrestling community. He has represented India in numerous international and national wrestling events, including winning the Bronze Medal at the Takti International World Wrestling Championship in Iran in 1993.
Recognized for his contributions, SSP Dushyant Sharma has served as team leader for Indian wrestling teams at prestigious events such as the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia (2011), London Olympic Games (2012), and various international championships in Canada and the USA.
