BSF Seizes Chinese Pistols, Pakistan-Made Ammunition Along India-Pakistan Border in Punjab

JALANDHAR, Jul 18: Border Security Force (BSF) personnel made a significant recovery along the India-Pakistan International Border in Punjab early Thursday, seizing four Chinese pistols and 50 rounds of Pakistan-manufactured live ammunition.

The recovery took place in the Kalsian village of Tarn Taran district around 2 AM following specific intelligence inputs, according to a BSF spokesperson. The recovered items included four pistols with empty magazines, along with 50 live rounds of 9×19 caliber ammunition and eight metal pins, all found in a yellow packet topped with illuminating sticks.

Authorities suspect that the ammunition was dropped into Indian territory via drone, given the circumstances of the recovery. The seized bullets bore the distinctive marking ‘POF’ (Pakistan Ordnance Factories).

“This notable seizure by BSF on the border underscores the unwavering commitment of BSF troops to thwart the malicious intentions of Pakistan-based sponsors of terror networks operating within Indian borders,” stated the spokesperson in an official statement.

Earlier, BSF personnel had recovered three pistols near the International Border in Fazilka district, adding to their vigilance and proactive efforts in safeguarding national security.
