Srinagar, July 6: Heavy rainfall prompted officials to temporarily suspend the Amarnath Yatra on Saturday, citing precautionary measures. The decision affects both the Baltal and Pahalgam routes to the cave shrine, with authorities taking steps to ensure safety amidst adverse weather conditions.
Commencing on June 29 and scheduled to conclude on August 19, the 52-day Amarnath Yatra has attracted over 1.5 lakh devotees thus far, highlighting its significance and ongoing challenges posed by natural elements.
