President Murmu Promises Investigation and Punishment for Recent Paper Leaks

New Delhi, Jun 27 : The government is fully committed to investigating the recent paper leaks and ensuring that those responsible are punished, President Droupadi Murmu said in her address to a joint sitting of Parliament.

Addressing the 18th Lok Sabha for the first time, the President highlighted the government’s dedication to creating an environment that allows the youth of the country to dream big and achieve their goals. As she outlined the steps taken by the government in the education sector, some opposition members were heard shouting “NEET.”

“It is inappropriate for examinations to be obstructed for any reason. Sanctity and transparency are essential in government recruitments and examinations,” she stated. “The government is committed to conducting a fair investigation and ensuring the most stringent punishment for those guilty in the recent incidents of paper leaks.”

President Murmu noted that incidents of paper leaks have occurred in some states previously, emphasizing the need to rise above partisan politics and take decisive action at the national level. She added that Parliament has enacted strong laws against paper leaks and that the government is working to bring reforms to the examination process.
