Itanagar, June 13: Pema Khandu, a prominent BJP leader, has taken oath as the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh for the third consecutive term. The oath ceremony, held at the Dorjee Khandu State Convention Centre, saw Governor KT Parnaik administering the oath to Mr. Khandu in the presence of distinguished guests, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Pema Khandu, representing the Mukto constituency, has been sworn in as Chief Minister.
Eleven other MLAs, including Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, former assembly speaker PD Sona, and BJP state president Biyuram Wahge, were also sworn in as ministers.
Notable attendees at the ceremony included Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang.
The new cabinet comprises eight fresh faces, with Dasanglu Pul, the widow of former Chief Minister Kalikho Pul, being the lone woman minister.
Portfolios for the ministers will be allocated later in the day, followed by the first cabinet meeting of the new government.
