New Delhi, Jun 11 : Amit Shah, a prominent BJP leader, resumed his duties as the Union Home Minister on Tuesday, marking his second consecutive term in the position.
Shah has been overseeing the ministry since 2019. Before officially taking charge, he visited the National Police Memorial in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, to pay tribute to the brave policemen who sacrificed their lives in service to the nation.
At 59 years old, Shah was re-elected from the Gandhinagar constituency in Gujarat during the Lok Sabha elections. Additionally, he continues to hold his position in the Ministry of Cooperation.
