“Jammu & Kashmir Administration Dismisses Four Government Employees for Alleged Terror Links”

The Jammu and Kashmir administration has terminated the services of four government employees for their alleged involvement in anti-national activities and links with terror outfits. The terminated employees include two police constables, one teacher, and one Jal Shakti department employee.
This is not the first time the J&K government has taken such action. Last year, the administration terminated four other employees, including a doctor, a police constable, a teacher, and a lab bearer in the higher education department, citing their involvement in terror activities.
The decisions were made under sub-clause (c) of the proviso to clause (2) of Article 311 of the Constitution of India, which empowers the government to take such actions in the interest of national security. The Lieutenant Governor is satisfied that the activities of these employees warrant their dismissal from service without any inquiry.
In the last three years, the Union Territory administration has invoked Article 311(2)(c) to sack more than 50 employees who were allegedly helping Pakistani terror outfits, providing logistics to terrorists, propagating terrorists’ ideology, raising terror finances, and furthering secessionist agenda
