Mahika Pandoh, a resident of Udhampur district, has emerged as the top scorer in the Jammu division of the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE) class 12th examinations, securing an impressive 98.4% marks in the science stream.
Expressing her gratitude, Mahika credited her success to the unwavering support and motivation provided by her parents. With a remarkable score of 492 out of 500 marks, Mahika reflected on her journey, emphasizing the importance of smart work and consistency alongside hard work. She highlighted the significance of maintaining focus while studying and advocated for breaks to engage in physical activities like badminton to rejuvenate the mind.
Mahika, aspiring to pursue a career in medicine, shared her ambitions to become a doctor, showcasing her dedication to serving society through healthcare.
Her mother, Anjali Gupta, expressed joy and pride in Mahika’s achievement, underlining her recent qualification in the NEET exam and her commendable performance therein.
In an advisory note to fellow parents, Anjali Gupta emphasized the pivotal role of parental support in empowering girls to achieve their aspirations, asserting that with such encouragement, girls can surmount any challenge.
The JKBOSE recently announced the combined annual class 12 results, revealing an overall pass rate of 74% in Jammu and Kashmir. Notably, female students outperformed their male counterparts, securing top positions across all streams. Out of the 93,340 students enrolled for the exams, 69,385 were declared successful, with 25,435 students achieving Distinction, 33,437 securing First Division, 10,318 obtaining Second Division, and 195 students managing Third Division.
