Bhaderwah, May 08: To aware people especially youths and students about the importance of different kind of acts to save lives, District Administration and Red Cross Society in collaboration with the YAC organised an awareness Rally at Bhaderwah on Wednesday to mark the world Red Cross Day.
ADC Bhaderwah Sunil Kumar along with Tehsildar Kamalpreet Singh, Principal Government Higher Secondary School Boys Bhaderwah Dr Nazir Ahmed, BMO Bhaderwah Dr Mohd Ashraf, YAC President Naseer Mehboob, Social Activist Tariq Butt and others flagged off the awareness rally from outside ADC office at New Bus Kotli Bhaderwah. The proceedings of the programme was conducted by Educationist Arif Rana.
Beside locals and staff members of Administration, a large number of students and staff of different Government and private schools also participated in the rally which after passing through different areas culminated at Seri Bazaar Park Bhaderwah, where speakers addressed the gathering.
The Red Cross pledge was also administered to all the students and staff members.
Speakers shed light on how World Red Cross Society helps others without any discrimination across the world.
ADC Bhaderwah Sunil Kumar while addressing gathering said, “It’s all about celebrating the happiness that comes from helping others. Whether it’s giving time, money, or support, the joy we feel in giving is a beautiful reward in itself.”
