Srinagar, May 6: The meteorological department in Jammu and Kashmir has forecast generally dry weather with fluctuations in night temperatures across the region until May 10.
According to an official from the meteorological department, dry weather conditions are expected to persist until May 10, with the possibility of thundershower activity in some areas during the afternoon.
On May 11, partly to generally cloudy weather with light rain and thunder is predicted at a few places, while May 12 may see generally cloudy weather with light rain or snow over higher reaches and thunder activity at a few places.
Similarly, on May 13, partly to generally cloudy weather with light rain at few places is anticipated.
In terms of temperature, Srinagar recorded a low of 9.3°C, which is 1.3°C below normal for this time of the year. Meanwhile, Qazigund recorded a minimum of 9.0°C, slightly above normal, while Pahalgam saw a low of 5.4°C, also slightly above normal.
Kupwara recorded a minimum of 8.0°C, slightly below normal, while Gulmarg experienced a minimum of 5.2°C, below normal for the famous skiing resort.
In Jammu, the temperature dropped to 21.3°C, which is below normal for the winter capital of J&K. Other areas like Banihal, Batote, and Bhaderwah also saw variations in night temperatures.
