JAMMU, May 4: Police in Rajouri district have seized a multi-storey business establishment and a vehicle, with a combined value exceeding Rs 1.80 crore, belonging to an alleged drug peddler.
Vikal Chogga, who was charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act last year, is accused of illicitly acquiring the property by selling drugs to the youth in Rajouri town, according to a police spokesperson.
The attached properties include a four-storied business establishment valued at Rs 1.74 crore located in the heart of Rajouri city, and a car valued at Rs 7 lakh. Rajouri Senior Superintendent of Police Amritpal Singh reiterated the police’s commitment to eradicating the menace of drugs from the district.
