Modi Scheduled to Speak at Election Rally in Telangana Today

Hyderabad, Apr 30 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address a campaign rally in Chilver Village, Medak district, Telangana, on Tuesday, according to BJP sources. This marks Modi’s second visit to the state since the election schedule was announced last month.

Telangana holds significance for the BJP’s electoral strategy, aiming to secure a substantial number of seats in its bid to reach the ambitious target of 370 in the Lok Sabha polls. Home Minister Amit Shah has previously outlined a goal of securing double-digit seats out of Telangana’s 17.

Shah is scheduled to campaign on May 1st for Madhavi Latha, the BJP’s candidate for Hyderabad, who is contesting against AIMIM’s Asaduddin Owaisi. In the 2019 elections, BJP secured four seats in the state, with the majority of sitting MPs re-nominated for this year’s contest.

Key BJP figures in Telangana, including state chief and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, National General Secretary Bandi Sanjay Kumar, and Nizamabad MP D Arvind, have already launched intensive campaigns in their respective constituencies.
