Lucknow, Apr 27 : Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav predicted on Saturday that the BJP’s condition would deteriorate further in the remaining phases of the Lok Sabha polls. His statement comes a day after the conclusion of the second round of polling in 88 seats across 13 states.
After the first phase of polling on April 19, Yadav had remarked that the BJP was in a vulnerable position in the ongoing elections, whereas the INDIA bloc, including the Samajwadi Party (SP), was in a strong position.
In a recent post, Yadav asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) failed to garner voters’ support in the first two phases and speculated that it would struggle to secure booth agents in the upcoming phases.
“Following the initial two phases of voting, the BJP’s situation will worsen in the subsequent phases,” he asserted, suggesting that the electorate is ensuring the BJP’s decline.
Yadav also shared a video clip featuring a news channel reporter interviewing an alleged BJP booth agent. According to the SP leader, the booth agent, after “10 years of falsehoods by BJP leaders,” is now revealing the party’s dismal state. The agent cited inflation and unemployment as reasons why people are not favoring the BJP, Yadav claimed.
Uttar Pradesh, which sends 80 members to the Lok Sabha, has elections scheduled across all seven phases.
