Bhaderwah, Apr 10:- Like other parts of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir, Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated with zeal, gaiety, gesture and full of religious fervor across Chenab Valley on Wednesday. Administration and Police also distributed sweets among the people outside Eid Gah Bhaderwah.
Eid-ul-Fitr is the festival of thanksgiving and celebrated after the culmination of holy month of Ramadan.

With the sighting of Shawaal Crescent last night, the Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated today across UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
In Bhaderwah, from morning people started assembling in the premisses of Markazi Jamia Masjid Bhaderwah where from they marched towards historical Eid Gah in the form of huge proccession while chanting religious slogans.
At the end, special prayer were offered by the Jamia Masjid Imam to bring Joy, prosperity, brotherhood, communal harmony in the UT as well as country as a whole.
After Eid prayers hundreds of people gathered to pay obience to the Islamic flag traditionally known as ‘Jhande Ki Salaami’.
Renowned Aqib Najar rendered his voice to the famous Islamic poem of Dewan Bhadarwahi. This unique tradition of paying obience to the flag on the eve of Eid is being performed since more than 5 decades. Now this ritual has spread in whole Chenab Valley and most parts of Jammu province.

On the occasion, ADC Bhaderwah Sunil Kumar, ASP Bhadarwah Vinod Sharma, Tehsildar Bhaderwah Kamalpreet Singh, SDPO Bhaderwah Wasim Hamdani, SHO Bhaderwah Sandeep Parihar and President Anjuman-e-islamia Bhaderwah Abdul Hafiz Khateeb greets the people.
Meanwhile at Eid Gah Gatha, large number of people including youth, elders and children participated in the Eid Nimaz and prayed for the prosperity, brotherhood, communal harmony in the area as well as UT.
People of Doda and it’s adjoining areas assembled in their respective Eid Gahs to offer prayer of Eid-Ul-Fitr.
During his address at Eid Gah Doda, Imam Jamia Masjid Doda give religious speech and pray for the whole UT for overall development,communal harmony and Brotherhood.

Vice-Chairperson DDC Doda Sangeeta Bhagat, DC Doda Harvinder Singh, SSP Doda Javed Ahmed and others also greeted people on this auspicious occasion.
Security was also beefed in all areas of Bhaderwah, Doda, Thathri and Gandoh areas of District Doda on the eve of Eid-Ul-Fitr by the administration to maintain law and order.
SP Bhadarwah Vinod Sharma said that elaborate security arrangements were made for smooth celebration of Eid-ul-fitr in Bhaderwah and it’s peripheral areas.
“The event passed smoothly in all areas and we all the officers of security forces and administration extend our greets to the people on the eve of Eid-ul-fitr,” SP added.
Abdul Hafiz Khateeb President Anjuman-e-Islamia Bhaderwah said that a huge participation of people were witnessed in Markazi Eid Gah Bhaderwah for offering namaz of Eid-ul-fitr.
He said special prayers were held for peace, prosperity, development, communal harmony and brotherhood for the people of J&K as well as country.
He said that special prayers were also held for Palestine, where innocents are being killed. “We appeal to whole world to support an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.”
“We need an immediate ceasefire, an end to the killing and attacks against innocents, even on the eve of Ramadhan and Eid-ul-fitr,” President added.
Like other parts of the country, Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated with full religious fervor across District Ramban.
People of Banihal assembled at Markazi Eid Gah Banihal in large numbers to offer Eid prayers.
People were very happy while offering prayers and all religious obligations.
On the occasion special prayer were also offered across District Ramban for the Joy, prosperity, brotherhood, communal harmony in the UT as well as country as a whole.
On the occasion, JKPCC Cheif Vikar Rasool Wani also offered prayers in Eig Gah Banihal and greeted people on this auspicious occasion.
Beside Markazi Eid Gah Banihal, a large number of people including youth, elders and children participated in the Eid Nimaz at Peer Dastageer Sahib, Jamia Masjid Gosia and Jamia Masjid Eidgah Krawa, where they prayed for the prosperity, brotherhood, communal harmony in the area as well as UT.
On the occasion people seek blessings of almighty for the betterment of the nation and special prayer to bring communal Harmony and brotherhood was also observed.
While addressing the gathering, Abdul Gani Tantrey, President Markazi Eid Banihal urged upon the believers to follow the path of Prophet(PBUH) and give their contribution to build a strong Nation.
The Eid prayers were also offered by a huge gathering in Ramban, Gool, Sangaldan, Batote and other areas of district Ramban.
Security arrangements were beefed in and around the mosques and Eidgahs across District Ramban.
To celebrate the Eid festival, large number of people participated in special Eid prayers in famous Chowgan ground of Kishtwar under tight security arrangements on Wednesday.
More than 20,000 people including young, elder and childrens offered Eid Namaz (prayer) at famous Eid Gah in Chowgan Ground Kishtwar, where main event was organised.
Beside Chowgan Ground Kishtwar, prayers were also held in Dachhan, Padder, Chatroo, Marwah, Warwan and other areas of Kishtwar.

SSP Kishtwar Abdul Qayoom, DC Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav, Administrator Auqaf Kishtwar Firdous Bhawani, President Majlis-e-Shoura Kishtwar and Imaam Farooq Ahmed Kichloo and others were present and greeted people on this auspicious occasion.
