Srinagar, Mar 5: Senior BJP leader Tarun Chugh praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for turning Jammu and Kashmir from a terrorism hub into a prominent tourism destination, marking a significant shift in the region’s narrative.
Speaking to reporters during his visit to Srinagar to oversee preparations for PM Modi’s upcoming rally at Bakshi Stadium, Chugh emphasized the positive impact of Modi’s policies on the state’s development trajectory.
“Jammu and Kashmir, once infamous for its association with terrorism, has now emerged as a thriving tourism hub, all thanks to Prime Minister Modi’s visionary approach,” Chugh stated, highlighting the remarkable transformation witnessed under Modi’s leadership.
Chugh noted the substantial progress in various sectors, including industrial growth and employment opportunities for the youth, attributing these advancements to the government’s efforts to curb corruption and promote inclusive development.
Expressing confidence in the massive turnout expected at the upcoming rally, Chugh asserted that the people of Jammu and Kashmir hold deep admiration and trust for PM Modi, echoing sentiments shared across the nation.
He underscored the significant strides made by J&K towards progress and development under Modi’s leadership, emphasizing the unwavering support and enthusiasm of the local population.
Meanwhile, stringent security measures have been put in place ahead of PM Modi’s rally, with a three-tier security arrangement implemented around Bakshi Stadium. Enhanced surveillance techniques and increased deployment of security personnel aim to ensure a safe and successful event.
Authorities have intensified vehicle checks and established barricades to regulate traffic flow, with special checkpoints set up at various locations as a precautionary measure.
This visit marks PM Modi’s second trip to Jammu and Kashmir within a short span, highlighting the government’s continued focus on the region’s development. Last month, Modi inaugurated several development projects in the Jammu region and addressed a public gathering, reaffirming the government’s commitment to inclusive growth and prosperity in the state.
