Deteriorating Air Quality Plagues Urban Centers

New Delhi, Feb 16 : The city recorded a minimum temperature of 7.3 degrees Celsius on Friday, as reported by the weather office.
According to the IMD’s weather bulletin at 8:30 am, the relative humidity was at 97 per cent.
The day is expected to see mainly clear skies, with the maximum temperature likely to reach around 26 degrees Celsius.
For the nights of February 19, 20, and 21, the weather department has forecasted very light rain and thundershowers, along with the possibility of hail and gusty winds ranging from 40 to 50 kmph at isolated places.
The air quality index (AQI) was recorded in the poor category at 271 as of 9 am.
The AQI scale categorizes air quality from zero to 500, with a range of 201 to 300 considered poor, and above 300 falling into the very poor category.
