SRINAGAR, January 29: In Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district, police on Monday applied the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) against two individuals, accusing them of engaging in alleged anti-national activities. The identified individuals are Fayaz Ahmad Kumar, also known as Narshima, a resident of Khanpora Baramulla, and Safeer Ahmad Bhat, also known as Safeer Molvi, from Janbazpora Baramulla.
Taking a firm stance against Anti-National Elements (ANEs), Baramulla Police invoked the Public Safety Act and secured formal detention orders from the competent authority for both individuals, as stated in a police release. The detained individuals have been placed in Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jail Jammu.
According to the police statement, these individuals have multiple cases registered against them, citing their involvement in disturbances of law and order as well as subversion. Despite their previous involvement in numerous FIRs, they reportedly persisted in their alleged anti-national and anti-social activities, prompting the police to take strict action.
