New Delhi, January 29 : In preparation for the upcoming Budget session, the government has called for a meeting of floor leaders from various political parties on Tuesday. This customary practice allows party leaders to articulate the issues they intend to raise in Parliament, while the government provides insights into its agenda and seeks cooperation.
Scheduled to be a brief session from January 31 to February 9, this time frame is crucial as Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is expected to present an interim budget in anticipation of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. The subsequent full-fledged budget will be presented by the new government.
The session is set to commence with President Droupadi Murmu’s address, marking the beginning of parliamentary proceedings. This meeting of floor leaders serves as a vital platform for fostering collaboration and understanding the priorities of different political parties as they gear up for the upcoming session.
