JAMMU, Jan 10: Nitin Agrawal, the Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF), conducted a comprehensive review of the security situation and the operational preparedness of troops deployed along the border with Pakistan in the Jammu frontier on Wednesday, as per officials.
During his visit to areas near the International Border (IB), Agrawal also met with Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at the Raj Bhavan in Jammu. In the meeting, he provided the Lieutenant Governor with a detailed briefing on the prevailing security situation along the border.
The DG engaged in a thorough assessment of the security situation and the operational readiness of the troops, holding discussions with senior BSF officials. Currently on a visit to the Jammu region, Agrawal received briefings from D K Boora, Inspector General of BSF, Jammu frontier, regarding the security scenario in the region.
It’s noteworthy that Agrawal had previously visited various border outposts in Jammu’s Akhnoor sector on August 9 of the preceding year. During that visit, he urged the troops to maintain effective control and dominance to successfully address challenges emanating from across the frontier.
