International Kite Festival to Precede Consecration of Ram Temple in Ayodhya

Ayodhya (UP), Jan 4 – As a precursor to the scheduled Ram Temple consecration ceremony on January 22, the Uttar Pradesh government is set to host an International Kite Festival in Ayodhya. The Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) has already initiated preparations for the festival, expected to take place from January 19 to 21. This event will provide renowned kite flyers, both from within the country and around the world, with a platform to showcase their artistic skills, according to an official release on Thursday.

Taking inspiration from various kite festivals held nationally and internationally, the ADA aims to organize this festival on a grand scale. Applications have been invited to appoint a private agency responsible for conceptualization, designing, execution, and supervision of the event. The selected agency is expected to be finalized by January 8, as mentioned in the release.

A designated visitors’ area with seating for 750 people and a VVIP lounge accommodating 50 special invitees will be arranged for the event. Attendees will also have the opportunity to savor dishes made from millet and Awadhi cuisine, as mentioned in the release.
