AKHNOOR, December 17: Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor (Veterans) triumphed over Jammu Sports Veterans in the second match of their exciting 5 T-20 series. The thrilling encounter took place at the Government Higher Secondary School Akhnoor, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats until the very end.
Having won the toss, Singh Cricket Club Veterans chose to bat first. Their openers, Rahul Mani (17) and Chandan Sharma (46) provided a solid start, laying the foundation for a competitive total. They were ably supported by Sonu Sultan (52) and Gagandeep Singh Jamwal (34) as the team reached a respectable 189/5 in 20 overs.
Harshit Singh emerged as the pick of the bowlers for Jammu Sports Veterans, claiming 2 wickets. Bunty & Ravinder took one wicket apiece.
In their chase, Jammu Sports Veterans put up a valiant fight. Harshit Singh (90) and Raman (47) played well, but their efforts were not enough to overcome the target set by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor. Munir Ahmed (12) also chipped in with valuable contributions.
