Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim has reportedly been hospitalised in Karachi and is said to be in critical condition, according to sources.
Reports doing rounds online claimed that the 1993 Mumbai blasts mastermind was poisoned and that he has been in hospital for the past two days.
Though the news came out only on Monday, Pakistan is yet to officially confirm the reports. THE WEEK could not independently verify the reports.
The mastermind behind the 1993 blasts that killed more than 250 people has reportedly been hiding in Pakistan for decades and his sister’s son had earlier confirmed that he was in Karachi after his second marriage.
India believes that he was staying in Karachi’s Clifton area but Pakistan has dismissed these claims.
