Hellis underscored the need to stop aggression and achieve solidarity, stating that the issue is not a religious conflict between Jews and Muslims but revolves around the occupation of Palestinian homeland. He appreciated the support from all sections of Indian society, regardless of religious affiliations, and thanked the people of India for their ongoing solidarity. Hellis also highlighted the prolonged nature of the conflict, spanning more than 100 years, and called for a cessation of aggression and the establishment of a ceasefire in their homeland.
In October, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a conversation with the President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, expressing condolences for the lives lost at Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza. PM Modi affirmed India’s commitment to providing humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people. India has consistently maintained its principled position on the Israel-Palestine issue, offering humanitarian aid and support while advocating for a resolution to the longstanding conflict.
