Srinagar, Dec 6 : Residential Land Linked to LeT Terror Associate’s Family Attached under UAPA in J&K’s Bandipora
In a move under the anti-terror law UAPA, police in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir attached 14 marlas of residential land belonging to the family of a terror associate associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). The action was taken after the land was identified as proceeds of terrorism.
“Bandipora Police has attached 14 marla of residential land at Ashtengoo Bandipora in case FIR No.43/2022. The land had been identified as proceeds of terrorism and was attached under the UAPA,” stated a post by Bandipora Police on X.
The police specified that the land is owned by the family of Irfan Ahmad Bhat, a terror associate of LeT, and mentioned that his brother had exfiltrated to Pakistan in 2000.
