BSF Seizes 565 Grams of Heroin Dropped by Pakistani Drone Near International Border in Amritsar

Chandigarh, Nov 21 : The Border Security Force (BSF) announced on Tuesday that it had retrieved 565 grams of heroin airdropped by a Pakistani drone in a field near the International Border in Punjab’s Amritsar district. The interception and recovery took place on the night of November 20 and 21, with BSF troops responding to the sound of something dropping on the ground in Mode village.

After a thorough search, the troops found a packet wrapped in yellow tape containing 565 grams of heroin. The BSF reported that the Pakistani drone had returned after dropping the illicit substance. In a social media post, the BSF stated, “In a search operation, based on specific input about drone intrusion, @BSF_Punjab troops seized 565 gms of heroin from the outskirts of the village – Mode, District – Amritsar. The troops swiftly responded to the #drone intrusion, which dropped the contraband before returning back to #Pakistan.” The post also highlighted that the BSF successfully thwarted another attempt by Pakistani smugglers to bring drugs into Indian territory.
