Uttarkashi (U’khand), Nov 21 : Rescuers in Uttarkashi shared the initial footage of workers who have been trapped inside the Silkyara tunnel for the past 10 days. The visuals were recorded using an endoscopic camera dispatched through an alternative 6-inch food pipeline. In the video, workers, identifiable by their yellow and white helmets, can be seen receiving food items sent through the pipeline and engaging in conversation. This development brings considerable relief to the families of the trapped workers.
Anshu Manish Khalkho, Director of the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), had previously mentioned plans to insert cameras through the pipeline to assess the well-being of the workers. The camera was sent from Delhi and was deployed on Monday evening.
