Srinagar, October 26: A tragic incident occurred on Thursday in Pampore, where an Army soldier reportedly took his own life using his service rifle in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district. An official informed a news agency about the incident, stating that the soldier tragically shot himself dead in the Chandhara area of Pampore.
The authorities have initiated action by taking cognizance of the matter under Section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CRPC). The reasons behind the soldier’s decision to take this extreme step remain unclear at this time.
