Srinagar, October 25: The Meteorological Department (MeT) has issued a weather forecast, anticipating dry conditions in Jammu and Kashmir until November 2, while mentioning a potential for light rain or snowfall in isolated areas on Saturday. A MeT spokesperson reported that the prevailing weather across most regions of J&K today is predominantly clear to partly cloudy.
The local weather station’s update states the following: “October 25-28: Mainly clear to partly cloudy. November 1-2: Partly cloudy with chances of light rain/snow in isolated higher elevations.”
The MeT department’s update further indicates that the weather is expected to be partly cloudy during the last two days of October and persist through the initial two days of November.
There are no significant forecasts for substantial rain or snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh until November 2. These weather conditions are deemed favorable for harvesting and the secure storage of crops.
