NEW DELHI, Oct 23 : On the occasion of the 100th birth anniversary of Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, former Rajasthan Chief Minister and Vice President, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid his respects and expressed India’s enduring gratitude for Shekhawat’s exceptional leadership and contributions to the nation’s progress. Modi emphasized that Shekhawat’s respect extended beyond political boundaries, making him a widely admired figure in the political spectrum and among people from all walks of life. Shekhawat, the first BJP Chief Minister of Rajasthan, played a pivotal role in elevating the party’s prominence in the western state. He was later elected as the Vice President of India in 2002, and his legacy continues to shine in Rajasthan as assembly polls are scheduled for November 25.
