Bhaderwah, Oct 19: To curb the traffic violations, Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Doda along with Traffic department and Police jointly launched a special drive against traffic rules and norms violators in Bhaderwah.
The move is aimed to inculcate the traffic discipline and to reduce the accidents, rash and negligent driving and control various offences under the Motor Vehicles Act.
The joint team of MVD, Traffic and Police led by MVD Inspector Er Robin Parihar challaned 32 vehicles for the violation of traffic rules including driving vehicles without Seat belt /Helmets, wrong parking, Over loading, Without DL, Without Documentation and others.
MVD inspector Robin Parihar, SI Nishant Salgotra, SO Traffic Bhaderwah Nazir Ahmed and others visited every area of town and also sensitize people about importance of following traffic rules.
MVD Inspector Er Robin Parihar said that 32 challans includes 5 seizure of vehicles as well. 5 vehicles including 4 Scooties and one other vehicle has been seized as they found without documents.
“The drive will continue in future and strict action will be taken against violators, Parihar added, saying that the drive was conducted on the directions of ARTO Doda Rajesh Gupta.
