Jerusalem, October 10 : Israel’s military announced the discovery of approximately 1,500 bodies of Hamas militants within Israeli territory, as it declared significant progress in gaining control over the southern region of the country. The military also stated that it had “fully regained control” over the border, marking the fourth day of intense fighting following an unprecedented surprise attack.
According to spokesperson Richard Hecht, no Hamas fighters have entered Israeli territory since the previous night, although the potential for infiltrations remains a concern. Israel has previously reported the loss of 900 soldiers and civilians, while Palestinian authorities have reported approximately 700 casualties in Gaza and the West Bank.
