Meri Maati Mera Desh: CRPF honors family members of martyrs, plants saplings in their memory in Bhaderwah

Bhaderwah, Aug 10: Continuing with ‘MITTI KO NAMAN VEERON KA VANDAN’ under pan India ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ Campaign, 33 Battalion CRPF payed rich tributes to the martyrs of CRPF by honoring their family members at Battalion headquarters Sarna in Bhaderwah on Thursday.

Commanding officer 33rd battalion CRPF, Devinder Singh Negi along with other officers and PRI members of the area honored the family members of the martyred Jawans of Doda district, who attained martyrdom while fighting terrorist in different parts of India.

After lighting of traditional lamps, family members were presented with shawls and mementos as a mark of respect towards the Jawans for the supreme sacrifice they and their family has made for the motherland.

Later sappligs of different species of trees were also planted in memory of all the martyred CRPF Jawans of the district.

Kins of the Veer Jawans expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for remembering the sacrifice of their loved ones on such a large scale by dedicating this year’s Independence day celebrations to martyred soldiers.

A medical camp was also held for the family members of martyrs.
