New Delhi, August 9: In a spirited demonstration on Wednesday morning, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs congregated on the Parliament premises to commemorate the anniversary of the historic Quit India Movement. The MPs used this platform to raise their voices against corruption, dynastic politics, and appeasement, holding banners and chanting slogans that read, ‘Corruption Quit India,’ ‘Dynasty Quit India,’ and ‘Appeasement Quit India.’
Prominent BJP leaders, including Nishikant Dubey and Ravi Shankar Prasad, seized the opportunity to launch scathing criticisms at the Congress party, accusing it of engaging in corruption and perpetuating dynastic policies. Nishikant Dubey emphasized, “Over the past 75 years, Congress and its affiliated parties have introduced three elements that are eroding our nation like termites. It is imperative to rally against these forces because democracy is meant for the common citizens.”
He continued, “The second challenge is corruption, and the third is appeasement—manipulative vote-bank politics that misleads minority communities. Such practices hinder the effective implementation of policies in our country.”
Addressing a press conference, BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad emphasized, “…The plague of family-centric governance, the stench of rampant corruption, and the politics of appeasement must all be ‘Quit India.’ Safeguarding the democratic fabric of our nation necessitates the eradication of these maladies—family rule and corruption must relinquish their hold on India.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to the brave participants of the Quit India Movement and called for a corruption-free and dynasty-free India. In a tweet, he wrote, “We pay tribute to the stalwarts who led the Quit India Movement. Under the guidance of Mahatma Gandhi, this movement played a pivotal role in liberating India from colonial rule.”
He further stated, “Today, the entire nation collectively declares: Corruption, Dynasty, and Appeasement—Quit India.”
The protest served as a poignant reminder of the historic Quit India Movement and the spirit of freedom fighters who struggled for India’s independence. It also echoed the party’s commitment to upholding democratic values and eradicating practices that undermine the nation’s progress.
As the demonstration concluded, the resounding message of ‘Quit India’ reverberated through the air, emphasizing the BJP’s call for a cleaner and more accountable political landscape, free from corruption, dynastic influence, and appeasement politics. The event showcased the party’s resolve to transform the nation’s political landscape for the betterment of all citizens.
