Sports event for girls inaugurated in GGHSS Bhadarwah

Bhadarwah: To promote competitive sports activites among girls residing in far off rural areas of hilly Doda district, Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs organising under 19 Sports tournament for girls, which was inaugurated at Bhaderwah.

123 girls from 4 Government Girls Higher Secondary Schools are participating in different games including Kabaddi, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Tug-of-war, Badminton, Chess, Carrom and Athletics at Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Bhadarwah.

On the occasion, Principal GGHSS Bhadarwah Shafayat Ali was the chief guest, who inaugurated the event, which is being organised under the overall supervision of ZPEO Bhadarwah Vijay Kotwal.

ZEPO Bhadarwah Vijay Kotwal said that such events under Ministry of Sports and DYSSO will definitely improve the talent of our youths, who get very less opportunities.

Students were also excited about the participation in sports activities in schools.

They said that it will be beneficial for youths to restart outdoor activities to improve their talent and get prepared to complete with others on National level.

The matches were officiated by Abdul Haq sheikh PEM, Leena Kotwal PEM, Murtaza Qadir PET, Suresh Kumar PET, Sanjay Kumar PET, Mubashir Qadir PET, Satish Kumar PEM, Mudassir Maqbool PET, Rehana Iqbal PET, Reeta Devi PET along with Aqib Javed, Needi Sharma and Sajid Butt.
