New Delhi, JULY 21 : On Thursday, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) apprehended a 19-year-old man, identified as Faizan Ansari, over suspected ties with the Islamic State (IS). Faizan, also known as Faiz, is a student at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in Uttar Pradesh. The agency conducted search operations at his permanent residence in Lohardaga, Jharkhand, and his rented room in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. During these searches, electronic devices and documents were seized.
