Thousands converge in Sathapna Divas of Chandi Mata Temple Chinote Bhaderwah

Bhadarwah, July 18: To seek blessings of Chandi Mata, hundreds of devotees from different parts of the UT as well as country converged at Chandi Mata Temple Chinote Bhadarwah on the eve of it’s Sathapna Divas on Tuesday.

Hundreds of devotees started gathering in long ques since morning to celebrate the birthday of the head priest, Guru Kulbir Singh Jamwal, who started the annual pilgrimage to Holy Chandi Mata Yatra known as Machail Yatra and to have a Darshan of godess Chandi to seek blessings of the holy deity at famous Chinote Temple.

The celebration of Sathapna Divas resulted into huge rush of devotees and a record more than 25000 pilgrims visited the holy Temple on a single day.

On the occasion a maha hawan was also organized by performing all religious obligations followed by bhajan kirtan and traditional folk dance.

The management said that in view of Sathapna Divas and expected huge gathering of pilgrims who come here not only from J&K but from other states as well, we have put in place best ever arrangements.

“We are trying our best to accommodate all the pilgrims and administration had also contributed by providing adequate security, traffic management and drinking water but we expect more from the administration in view of increasing rush of pilgrims round the year,” they added.

Former Minister and DPAP Jammu province President Jugal Kishore Sharma along with family also visited Chandi Mata Temple and paid obeisance.

Sunashi Jandyal, a devotee came right from Jammu to participate in celebration, said that, this give me immense pleasure and inner satisfaction after seeking the blessings of Maa Chandi. I am a regular visitor here and I make it a point to offer prayers here on Sathapna Divas every year.

Huge number of vehicles full of devotees reached Bhadarwah from different parts of UT of Jammu and Kashmir while chainting religious slogans. ASP Bhadarwah Vinod Sharma was personally supervising the security arrangements.

The security and other arrangements were made by administration for the smooth conduct of Satphna Divas of Chandi Mata Temple Chinote.

“We had made elaborate security arrangements by deploying seluthes of JKP, JKAP and CRPF in Bhadarwah town and also at premises of the temple for the devotees,” said ASP Bhadarwah Vinod Sharma.
