Active COVID-19 cases in India decline to 1,420 as 20 fresh cases are recorded

New Delhi, July 11: The Union health ministry announced on Tuesday that India has reported 20 fresh coronavirus cases, resulting in a decline in the number of active infections to 1,420. As per the ministry’s updated data at 8 am, the death toll from the viral disease has risen to 5,31,913. The overall COVID-19 tally in India has now reached 4,49,94,619 with the addition of these new cases. The national COVID-19 recovery rate stands at an encouraging 98.81 percent, according to the ministry’s website. The number of individuals who have successfully recovered from the illness has risen to 4,44,61,286, while the case fatality rate remains at 1.18 percent. Notably, the ministry’s website indicates that a remarkable 220.66 crore doses of anti-Covid vaccines have been administered across the country thus far.
