New Delhi, June 14 : India witnessed a decrease in active Covid cases as it reported 120 new coronavirus infections, bringing the total down from 2,248 to 2,148, according to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday. The death toll remained at 5,31,892 as of 8 am, as indicated by the updated data.
The overall Covid case count reached 4.49 crore (4,49,93,080) in the country. The national recovery rate stands at an impressive 98.81 percent, as reported on the health ministry’s website. The number of individuals who have successfully recovered from the disease has surged to 4,44,59,040, while the case fatality rate remains at 1.18 percent.
Notably, the nationwide vaccination drive has achieved significant progress, with a total of 220.66 crore doses of the Covid vaccine administered, as stated on the ministry’s website.
