Srinagar, June 2: The Meteorological Department has forecasted generally cloudy weather in Jammu and Kashmir, with intermittent light rain, thunder, and lightning expected across many places in the next 24 hours. The possibility of moderate showers accompanied by gusty winds is likely in some areas during the afternoon. While the weather is expected to remain dry overall, there may be brief spells of showers or thunderstorms between June 5-10. The temperature has dropped significantly due to intermittent rains in the past 24 hours. Srinagar, for instance, recorded a low of 9.8 degrees Celsius, below the summer capital’s normal temperature. The maximum temperature remains below normal, with slight improvement recorded on Friday. The Meteorological Department advises farmers to conduct their farming operations in the morning hours starting from June 5.
