JAMMU, June 01: The Jammu-Srinagar national highway has been temporarily closed for traffic on Thursday to facilitate the repair of a road section in Ramban district, Jammu and Kashmir. The closure comes after a landslide occurred at the Dhalwas section in Ramban district, which had previously caused a blockage on Wednesday but was later cleared for traffic. Mussarat Islam, Deputy Commissioner of Ramban, stated that the highway is currently closed for restoration work at Dhalwas. The persistent rainfall has led to the narrowing of the critical stretch of the highway at Dhalwas, prompting ongoing efforts to restore the road near Nashri tunnel.
