Jammu, June 01 : In a recent incident, an infiltrator from Pakistan was fatally shot on Thursday morning by vigilant troops of the Border Security Force (BSF) near the international border (IB) in the Samba sector of Jammu division. According to a spokesperson from the BSF, the incident occurred in the early hours of June 1 when alert BSF troops observed a person engaging in suspicious movement after crossing the IB from the Pakistan side in the Samba area. Despite being challenged by the troops, the intruder continued to advance towards the border fencing. As a result, the troops took necessary action, firing upon the individual and resulting in his demise. Presently, the area is under search operations, while further details are being investigated, the spokesperson added.
