Jammu, May 17, 2023 : To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Art of Giving- a philosophy of life by Professor Achyuta Samanta, an event was orgasined here today at Dogra Higher Secondary School (DHSS). Mr.Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Cabinet Minister, Jammu and Kashmir was the chief guest on the occasion whereas Padmashree Professor Vishwa Murti Shastri, Former Director/Principal Central Sanskrit University was the guest of honour and Mr.Parshotam Kumar Dadhichi, President Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Jammu and Kashmir presided over the function. Director,DHSS in his welcome address, expressed his gratitude towards the invited dignitaries and the conveners Art of Giving (AOG). Dr.Varun Suthra, Convener AOG gave an audio visual presentation about the philosophy and
showcased the life and works of its founder, Professor Samanta. He disclosed that AOG has been celebrated for the past 10 years across the globe at various centers. “This year’s theme is ‘Helping the Help’ where we are expressing gratitude towards the people who serve is in different walks of life. On the 10the AOG day celebrations we have decided to express our sincere thanks to the people who serve us be it nursing staff, municipal staff, drivers, domestic helps, teachers etc anyone who you feels is serving you.,” he added. Mr Dadhichi stressed upon the need of inculcating the values of giving among children and youths. Professor Vishwa Murti explained the benefits of giving in making society peaceful. Mr Gulchain extressed thanks to Professor Samanta for his initiative to inspire the youths to do good for society. He stressed upon the need to support social and humanitarian causes. Ms.Davinder Kour, Principal DHSS expressed vote of thanks.
