Jammu: A Free Medical and Blood camp was organised by People’s Hut Foundation in collaboration with RSHMI Foundation under “Mobile Health Clinic Program” of People’s Hut Foundation at Morchapur Camp, Bishnah,Jammu, which benefitted 6 villages in the vicinity and it was organised with an aim to provide free healthcare to the vulnerable and most deserving of rural population. This particular camp was special since it targeted some of the most ignored and socially neglected communities residing in far flung regions where healthcare facilities are non-existent.

Organizer of the camp Dr. Rohit Koul and Parveen Chowdhary said, “Such kind of medical health check-up camps for needy citizens will be organized periodically at various locations in Jammu.The facilities provided at the camp included free consultations by specialists in the field of mental health, anxiety, hypertension, cardiology, ENT, orthopaedic, gynaecology and General physician. In addition to this there were facilities like ECG, sugar testing, oxygen level testing and special menstrual health and hygiene kits were distributed amongst women.
The one day medical camp witnessed an approximate footfall of 418 persons. The ortho , Physio and rehab services were provided by Kanwal International Rehab Foundation under the supervision of its Founder Chairman Dr. Imran Khan.
The Ayush camp was also held under the supervision of camp I/C MO Dr. Nalini Sharma and other ayush team members including Dr. Veenu Gupta (MO) and Sh. Vipan Kumar Khajuria (Pharmacist) . The other team members who were present in the camp were Dr. Imran Khan( KIRF), Parveen Chowdhary (Founder RSHMI), Vicky Randhawa, Rahul Randhawa, Pankaj, Rohit Manotra, Pankul Abrol, Balvinder Hindustani and others.
Speaking on the occasion S. Taranjit Singh Tony (DDC Member) who inaugurated camp added Healthcare nowadays is not affordable by everyone living in the society and underprivileged people are deprived of this basic right. We believe access to good healthcare is a basic right of every individual and these initiatives’ are the real efforts towards serving mankind.
The beneficiaries from this camp were thankful to People’s Hut Foundation NGO and RSHMI Foundation for supporting their village which is otherwise quite neglected, with this camp .The organisers of the medical camp wish to thank the Directorate of Ayush, J&K UT and specially the District Ayush Officer Jammu Ms. Vandana Dogra , Yashwant Singh from BEE ENN General Hospital, Dr.Imran Khan from KIRF for providing all the support to organise this in this area serving the rural communities.
