SRINAGAR, Apr 19: Despite incessant rainfall in the Kashmir Valley since yesterday, authorities assured the public on Wednesday that there is no need to panic as there is no alarming flood situation. Chief Engineer of the Irrigation and Flood Control Department, Er Naresh Kumar, reported that the alert level at Sangam and Ram Munshi Bagh is well below the danger mark. He also stated that the weather is expected to improve in the afternoon. While the weatherman predicted more rain showers throughout the day, higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir are expected to receive snow, while the plains may experience moderate to heavy rain. More showers are anticipated until Friday, with maximum temperatures staying below normal by 4 to 13 degrees Celsius in most places.
