Ramkote 10th April 2023: NSS Unit of Govt. Degree College, Ramkote organized a SVEEP ( Systematic Voter’s Education and Electoral Participation) awareness program on 10-04-2023 in the college premises. The program was held in collaboration with the Sub- Divisional Administration Billawer, kathua. Sh Vinay Khosla, Additional Deputy Commissioner, kathua graced the occasion as resource person. The programme
was organized under the able guidance of Principal of the college, Prof. Ramneek Kour. In order to aware the students regarding the importance of casting of votes, a screening of film based on SVEEP was done at the commencement of the program. On the occasion, Sh Vinay Khoshla, ADC, Billawer, deliberated on the topic at length. He motivated the students to enroll themselves enthusiastically in the electoral list so that they can give their contribution in making the country a stronger democracy. He inspired the students to cast their votes compulsorily and judiciously at the time of election and also aware the people around them so that the honest and dedicated leaders may always get chance to lead the country. The students also volunteered themselves in expressing their views on the importance of casting votes. Dr. Sheetal Thapa, Lecturer, Department of Education delivered the welcome speech and Ms Neha, Department of Political science proposed Vote of Thanks. The Program was organized by the NSS Committee of the college vis. Prof. Karam Chand,HOD English, Dr. Bavita Kumari, HOD Dogri , and Prof. Rajesh Kumar, HOD Comp. Science and Mr. Sushil Singh.
